Beware of The Talkers’ Syndrome

“Work hard in silence and let your success do the talking.”- Dr. Dave Martin.

In a connected economy, it has become very easy to share an idea and communicate your truth to a certain group of people. Thanks to modern communication technologies, with a touch of a hand, we can show people what we are doing at the moment.

There’s no denying that these trends and technologies have made our lives better.

The problem lies when we became so obsessed with sharing what we are doing, that we forget to follow it up with the doing itself.

The modern communication technology has made it so much easier to be something great than to do something great and made it very hard to distinguish the two.

It is so much easier to be an entrepreneur (adding the word entrepreneur in your social media profile) than actually starting a profitable business.

It is so much easier to share to your friends that you are planning to write a book than actually writing the book itself.

It is so much easier to write about being a good person than actually be a good person.

There is of course nothing wrong with proclaiming what you are doing to the world, for people have been doing it since the beginning of time.

The problem is when you fail to follow your words with adequate actions, for ultimately, we are all judged by our actions.

Talk less, do more; and let the fruits of your work do the talking for you.
